Have you made a Squoval Bag yet? If you have and are ready for a new challenge, I am accepting 3 more guest testers for my next pattern release which is an intermediate/advanced version of this Squoval Convertible Bag.
It will be similar in style and function as the Squoval Bag, but will have a gusset with handle, purse feet and a convertible strap to go from a shoulder to crossbody to backpack to sling.
This is a hardware heavy bag. You will need to have the following on hand to test for this pattern:
(3) 1" swivel clips, (2) 1" sliding adjusters, (1) 1 1/4 - 1 1/2" O-Ring
(4) 1" D-Rings or Triangle Rings
(1) 1/2" Swivel Clip
(12) Rivets or Chicago Screws
(4) Purse Feet
(3) #5 zipper pulls & 29" #5 zipper tape
(1) 14 -18 mm magnetic snap or Kamsnap set
Industrial Machine Users will finish with binding the bag.
Domestic Machine Users will finish with birthing the bag.
Materials used should be compatible with your machine type. There are many layers in this bag to get through and you will not be happy if you use something that is too heavy for your machine to handle. Fair warning. ;)
To apply for testing:
Please post a photo of your Squoval Bag on the Facebook Group, www.facebook.com/groups/KMGhandmadeBagmakers and caption it "I'm IN!"
In the description of your post, please tell me what type of machine you use for bag making and what you liked about making the Squoval Bag.
Testing Period will start on June 26th - July 16th giving you 3 full weeks to make your tester bag and provide feedback and photos to Kristin.
Launch promotion period is tentatively set for Tuesday, July 25 - Friday, July 28th at which time testers will promote the new pattern on social media and share their bags!
Testers are eligible to participate in the KMGhandmade affiliate program but are not required to if they do not wish to join. Come join in on the fun of pattern testing! Testers chosen will be notified by June 19th so get your submissions in soon for consideration!
